Create NSW’s Arts and Cultural Funding Program provides funding opportunities for arts and cultural organisations, professional artists and arts/cultural workers across a wide range of artforms and disciplines.

Open Programs

Individuals

Project funding supports innovation, vibrancy and creativity within the NSW arts and cultural sector. Funding is available up to $60,000 towards a range of arts and cultural activities such as new project development and/or presentation, research, professional development, community and audience engagements.

Creative Koori Project funding aims to build support for a strong, resilient and exciting Aboriginal arts and cultural sector for NSW. Funding is available up to $60,000 towards arts and cultural activities for NSW Aboriginal artists and arts and cultural workers.

Small Project Grants (Quick Response) support the creation, development and presentation of new work and professional development or promotion for NSW-based professional artists and arts and cultural workers. This quick response grant mechanism offers grants from $500 to $5,000 towards projects.

Creative Leadership provides opportunities for individual artists, practitioners and arts/cultural workers across literature, musical theatre, archives, classical music and visual arts. During the period of COVID-19 restrictions, these programs will be delivered digitally or will have their timing adapted to align with current health directives.

Organisations

Annual Organisation funding is provided on an annual basis to support arts and cultural organisations (including service organisations) to deliver multiple arts and cultural activities to diverse audiences throughout a single calendar or financial year.

Country Arts Support Program (CASP) support community arts and cultural development in regional NSW through small grants $3000 or $5000 (depending on region.

Closed Programs

19/20 Local Government Authority Arts & Cultural Programs Multi-Year applicants have been advised that the notification date has changed. The 20/21 round will open in due course.

COVID-19 Initiatives were targeted at addressing the issues raised by the sector regarding COVID-19’s impact on their arts practice and the well-being of the arts and cultural sector. These opportunities supported the creation of new work, adapting to current work to digital platforms and engagement with audiences through online portals and to develop events and activities for when restrictions are lifted.
