Celebrating International Day of People with Disability (IDPwD)

Thursday 3 December 2020 is the United Nations’ International Day of People with Disability (IDPwD), a day to increase awareness, understanding and acceptance of people with disability.

To celebrate IDPWD 2020, we’ve put together a list of NSW events where you can share in the celebrations, in-person and online.

Screenability short films | ABC iview
ABC iview’s IDPwD program is showcasing nine short films made by filmmakers with disability, highlighting the suite of Screen NSW’s Screenability Films. Enjoy all three 2020 Screenability films – Diving In, Groundhog Night, and Safety Net, plus past films and more from talented filmmakers. You can also meet the filmmakers in their Re-Frame program.

Fearless Films Season 2 Premiere | Screenworks and Feros Care

Six photographers have collaborated to share their lived experience of disability through feminist self-portraits in a new exhibition Through My Eyes, offering unique insight into contemporary Australian women and the lived experience of disability today.
