Create NSW is calling for artists to register their interest to develop an integrated artwork for station glass panels for 10 of Sydney’s Southwest Metro stations.
Stations from Marrickville to Bankstown will soon be upgraded to metro standard, and Create NSW in partnership with Sydney Metro are commissioning a different artist to create a work for each station. This is a significant opportunity for artists to leave a lasting impression on Sydney’s new metro railway, and in the process deliver a cultural legacy to enrich the life of local communities.
Around the world, art has reimagined and transformed public transport hubs into creative and inspiring places for people to enjoy. Existing national and international examples prove art’s capacity to contribute to place identity and activation and elevate the experience of the customer’s journey.

- Hurlstone Park Station
- Canterbury Station
- Campsie Station
- Belmore Park Station
- Wiley Park Station
- Lakemba Station
- Punchbowl Station
- Bankstown Station
