School-aged kids can enjoy a range of fantastic creative and cultural activities in the October school holidays this year with a Creative Kids voucher. Programs include face-to-face activities, online lessons, and structured creativity kits to explore at home.

Here’s a small selection of the programs on offer across the state:

Australian Maritime Museum | Reporting Live in The Wild – TV Presenting Workshop (2 days)
Create and star in your own imaginative TV segments inspired by the Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition!

Learn to drive an underwater drone and capture unique underwater footage. Then discover clever techniques in green-screen, scripting, directing, acting, and filmmaking as you produce your own creative digital stories.

Campbelltown Arts Centre | Make Box | SANPO Edition
The MAKE BOX is a new program from Campbelltown Arts Centre that allows children and their carers to create together at home. Discover your five senses and unleash the creativity inside you with local artist Machiko Motoi. This take-home art box opens up to five smaller boxes, each containing new art making materials and new creative activities inspired by one of the five senses and a space in your home.

Circus Monoxide (Fairy Meadow) | Circus Fun in the School Holidays
Circus Monoxide’s popular holiday program is back! Students will learn everything from trapeze to tumbling, tightwire to juggling. Circus is a fun way for kids to be active while developing confidence, friendship, and amazing skills. Circus training encourages students to be creative, to be themselves, and to support each other.

Parramatta Artist Studios | Inside Out Textures with Cindy Chen
Look closely at your home environment to discover new patterns and shapes. In this digital workshop, kids will use materials they receive in an Art Pack with everyday objects to explore textured patterns. Students will get started in an online session with Parramatta Artist Studios artist, Cindy Yuen-Zhe Chen. This workshop is part of Parramatta Artists’ Studios Future Artists’ Club at Home program.

Sydney Dance Company | Spring School Holiday Workshops
Join in the fun at Sydney Dance Company this spring and develop skills in a range of dance styles. Sydney Dance Company school holiday workshops provide an exciting, focused and COVID-safe environment for young people to improve their dance technique and learn new routines under the direction of professional teachers and choreographers who are also Company dancers.

Create Hub Riverina (Wagga) | Spring Holiday Workshops
There’s a fantastic range of workshops taking place at this dynamic regional centre. Crete Hub provides opportunities for people across the Riverina, specifically young people, to dream, create, and explore their own creative interests with like-minded people.

Information + Cultural Exchange | Do Lots Holiday Activities
Join artists Khyati, Anamika, DJ Bubu and members of the Jannawi Dance Clan for an exciting series of online interactive events for kids to enjoy at home. Workshops include art, music, dancing, and an art kit is included the price of the workshops.
