Arts and cultural organisations can now apply for the next round of the NSW Government’s Service Needs Strategic Fund as demand for professional development, services and resources across the sector grows.

Last year the inaugural round of the program supported six innovative arts and culture organisations to deliver a range of services, which included Cad Factory, to employ four NSW mid-career artists to undertake paid mentorships; WestWords, to engage emerging writers from Western Sydney, regional and remote NSW to develop new professional opportunities; and Studio A, to deliver legal rights information to visual artists with disability.

The Service Needs Strategic Fund includes a commitment from the NSW Government of $300,000 annually from 2021. This is the second round of the fund and multiple programs may be funded in any single year. More information on the 2021/22 Service Needs Strategic Fund recipients can be found here.

To apply, applications must be submitted addressing one or more of the six priority areas of need identified by the Service Needs Review.

Applications for the 2022 Service Needs Strategic Fund are open and close 5pm, Thursday 28 April 2022.
