NAIDOC Week on NITV & the ABC is looking deadly!

Because of Her, We Can! NAIDOC Week 2018 celebrates the invaluable contributions that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women have made – and continue to make – to our communities, our families, our rich history and to our nation. As part of NAIDOC Week, NITV and the ABC will be broadcasting a range of TV programs and films that celebrate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women.

ABC highlights:

  • Kiki and Kitty – Kiki and Kitty follows the adventures of a young, black woman in a big, white world, where her vagina is a big, black woman and her best friend.
  • Cleverman – In the near future, creatures from ancient mythology have emerged and must coexist with humans.
  • Mystery Road – Indigenous Detective Jay Swan is assigned to investigate the disappearance of two young men from an outback cattle station.
  • Meet the Mavericks – A five-part series featuring iconic artists, performers, cultural leaders and all round troublemakers.
