In My Neighbourhood – apply now!

Sydney City of Film, Melbourne City of Literature and Adelaide City of Music, members of the UNESCO Creative Cities Network, are offering an opportunity for creative practitioners in Victoria, New South Wales and South Australia to participate in Singapore Design Week in March 2018.

In My Neighbourhood is a collection of collaborative design project idea, inspired by music, literature and film to be presented at Singapore Design Week in March 2018.

What are we looking for?

We are seeking proposals by creative practitioners in the fields of music, literature and screen with project concepts in the theme of ‘In My Neighbourhood’, which if successful, will be pitched? workshopped at Singapore Design Week.

What funding is available?

Three successful applicants will each receive up to $5,000 AUD to cover flights, accommodation and other costs to attend Singapore Design Week where you will attend industry sessions and enter collaborations with practitioners from all creative fields. We can assist you to network and meet with people in your own creative field with a view to further collaborations.

Who is eligible?

Creative practitioners across all areas of literature, music and film that are resident in Victoria, New South Wales and South Australia.

We are committed to representation from all parts of the community and encourage submissions from people from under-represented groups including women, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, people from CaLD backgrounds, people with disability, LGBTIQ people, people from outside metropolitan areas.

Successful applicants must be available to travel to Singapore in March 2018 to attend Singapore Design Week.

What do I need to submit?

You should submit

  • an application form outlining your project proposal which may be for a written work, short-form screen content, or music project
  • A current CV
  • excerpts or examples of previous work – either uploaded or provide links
  • proof of a current passport

How is my application assessed?

Your application will be assessed by representatives from Sydney City of Film, Melbourne City of Literature, Adelaide City of Music and Singapore City of Design.
