Overview
Culture Up Late (Western Sydney) is an after-hours program developed to drive visitation to the various Western Sydney CBDs and increase audience engagement at eligible organisations.
The program aims to:
- continue to provide cultural night-time offerings to support the 24-hour economy, build Western Sydney’s creative capacity and resources and position NSW as a vibrant global cultural destination;
- increase access to NSW’s cultural infrastructure following a period of significant investment in renewal and expansion;
- capitalise on the success of the previous iterations of Culture Up Late (Western Sydney) and continue to create employment opportunities for artists and workers;
- support the night-time economy by providing opportunities to experience arts and cultural activities after 5pm during the delivery period; and
- encourage cultural organisations to partner with private sector sponsors and extend their programming after hours on a regular basis, with the goal of achieving self-sustaining operating models.
