“Creative Kids has allowed us to offer our programs to more young people in the area who have benefitted from being part of an inclusive creative community.” Daniel Potter, CEO, Shopfront.
Creative Kids is a $216 million, four-year initiative designed to make it easier for school-aged children and young people to get involved in creative and cultural activities.
Parents, guardians and carers can claim a $100 voucher per year to put towards the cost of lessons and fees with registered Creative Kids Providers.
There are a range of Providers, including artists, cultural practitioners, and arts and cultural organisations across NSW. This program creates opportunities for Providers to reach new audiences and grow business.
Creative Kids encompasses a wide range of eligible activities face-to-face and online, including:
- lessons/workshops from drama workshops to language classes and lots more
- cultural learning experiences such as Aboriginal cultural learning programs
- participation packages such as attendance at a ticketed performance followed by a Q&A with professional artists.
