NSW has some of Australia’s leading visual arts organisations within its borders. These organisations play a key role in the development of contemporary visual arts and craft practice in our state.
Through their exhibition, educational and promotional activities these organisations nurture the careers of artists and craft practitioners and arts professionals. They provide opportunities for the revitalisation of the work of established artists and also provide professional experience for emerging artists and curators.
Key organisations are supported through the Visual Arts and Craft Strategy (VACS), a partnership with the Australian Government.
