The Museum of Contemporary Art Australia (MCA) is Australia’s only museum dedicated to exhibiting, interpreting and collecting contemporary art from across Australia and around the world.

Situated at Sydney’s Circular Quay West, the MCA seeks to make contemporary art accessible to a broad spectrum of public audiences through exhibitions incorporating new and traditional media, stimulating and hands-on education programs and special events.

The MCA underwent a $53 million redevelopment and reopened its greatly expanded and upgraded facilities in early 2012. In the first year after its reopening, the centre attracted over 1 million visitors, a figure which is almost double its past highest attendance record.
